“What are Veneers?”

These thin shell ceramic laminates are “bonded” to the facial surfaces of your teeth, allowing Dr. Bonin to create a gorgeous smile for you that is dazzlingly white and brighter. Veneers don’t only change your look, but can also restore worn, chipped, and stained front teeth back to a more pleasing shape and form. They are more “conservative” cosmetic restorations than full crowns. Porcelain veneers do not require full tooth preparation or “shaving down”.

Many people have small teeth resulting in spaces that may not be easily closed by orthodontics (braces). Other people have worn away the edges of their teeth resulting in an unpleasing and prematurely aged look. Still others may have malpositioned teeth that appear crooked. Multiple veneers can close these spaces, lengthen teeth that have been shortened by wear, provide a uniform color, shape, and symmetry, and instantly straighten the teeth's appearance. While orthodontics may be the preferred method for straightening most teeth, some teeth may remain unattractive with intrinsic flaws and may require veneers to enhance them even after braces. |
